Focus on the ESSAYS. Although obviously very subjective it is easy to see the right buttons to push. I simply read AC Grayling who might as well have been writing essays intended for the GAMSAT and he covers all the topics. Plus being aware of what is going on politically helps to give examples. You can also learn generic quotes which can work.
For example, the topic that I got was on Pain (GAMSAT 2006) - one of the quotes was about how pain made us more able to appreciate joy. Immediately, I remembered what C.S. Lewis said on the topic - well actually, I remembered what Anthony Hopkins said in Shadowlands - that pain was God's sculpting tool to make us more perfect human beings.

Also read about politics and current affairs. It's almost guaranteed one essay topic will be, well, topical. Last year one theme was fear, so I based my essay on how fear shapes Australian politics in a variety of ways. That's basically it, I think. Practice a lot, work on your essay structure and the particulars of English grammar, and read.
These topics are covered in a problem-solving context, to develop an approach for dealing effectively with new situations. The more mathematical aspects of Biology, such as analysing and interpreting graphs, are an essential part of the exam and they will be covered throughout the course.
Section I. A word about the passages and questions that follow. Some of them are harder than you will find on the exam paper (somewhat harder, not astronomically so). There’s a good reason for that.
